EAA Chapter 284 will hold its August 2019 chapter meeting on Sunday August 11, 2019 at Red Stewart Airfield (40I) Meeting Time is 2:30 PM in the main building.
This will be a time to review the experiences of those who attended AirVenture last month and planning for our annual Fly-In and Pancake Breakfast scheduled for Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Red Stewart. We will also have to do an inventory of what supplies we have on hand. This usually does not take long.
As a small chapter, we need as many people as possible to make the pancake breakfast successful. The money raised goes to pay for our chapter expenses, including hanger rent, renewal fees and insurance.
I have already filed the necessary form to for event insurance and Young Eagles flights. This may be the time for many of you to renew your EAA Youth Protection Training. This is necessary if you are going to fly Young Eagle or help on the ground. The training is available on the EAA Young Eagle Web site https://www.eaa.org/eaa/youth/youth-protection-policy-and-program
Also please let me know if you are able to fly any Young Eagles.
If you are unable to attend Sunday’s meeting please let me know if you will be available for the pancake breakfast Saturday setup and Sunday breakfast.
Tentative plans for our October meeting are to visit Ivan Reznor’s Zenith 601 project.
