EAA284 Chapter Meeting Nov 14 2021

EAA Chapter 284 will hold its November 2021 chapter meeting on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Red Stewart Airfield (40I), Waynesville, OH. The meeting time is 2:30 PM as is usual.

The weather is expected to be on the cool side so we will meet in the office building. Remember that there is often ground instruction going on in the same area so we need to keep our noise level down so as to not disturb the instruction. The chief objective of this meeting will be to address our financial concerns in order to remain solvent. Please bring fundraising ideas to the meeting and hopefully consider making a contribution.

If you are unable to attend the meeting you can mail a check payable to EAA Chapter 284 to:

Robert Wilson
75211 Stafford Rd
Greenfield OH 45123-8307

Our finances and concerns over the past few years will be summarized at the meeting. COVID 19 and two rainy years have resulted in significant loss of income and financial challenges.

IDEAS:

Possible revenue sources are one-time (hopefully) member donations or finding a chapter sponsor. We can seek donations for those who use Red Stewart. We may be able to reduce TDFI costs by getting product donations from Bob Evans and/or GFS. We may be able to have chapter T-shirts or hats available for sale at the airport. This is risky as it involves an up front expense that we may not be able to cover. We may approach local businesses or civic organizations for financial support.

We need to develop a fundraising plan that will keep us solvent. Please bring ideas to our next meeting, SUNDAY NOVEMBER 14th

See everyone on Sunday.

Bob Luken, President
EAA Chapter 284
