A Sport Pilot that flies with her feet

A friend of mine passed this along and I though a few here might enjoy the inspirational story and watching the video.

Jessica Cox, born without arms, recently earned her sport pilot license at Ray Blair Airport in San Manuel, Arizona. She flies this Ercoupe plane the way she does most other things in her life — with her feet.

The February Meeting of EAA Chapter 284 will be Sunday February 8th, 2 PM at Red Stewart Airfield.

The Program topic will be rib stitching. I have come across a diagram of the knot used on the Beech Staggerwing. It is a very simple knot to tie. I am attaching a copy of that knot. I am also attaching the portion of AC 43-13 that covers the various rib stitching knots that are used. There is a YouTube video showing rib stitching on a Stearman wing. The knotting procedure is rather clearly shown in the video below.
