EAA Chapter 284 will hold its October 2017 meeting at Red Stewart Airfield (40I) at 2:30 PM October 8, 2017. Bob Luken will be reporting on last months Fly-In, including a financial report.
He has also purchased a 12 KW generator that we will be able to use at the airport for the Fly-in. It is currently a gasoline powered generator that he is planning to convert to propane.
Our Taildragger Fly-In is less than a week away and the chapter needs your help.

EAA Chapter 284 will hold its August 2017 Chapter Meeting on Sunday August 13th at Red Stewart Airfield at 2:30 PM.
Ivan and I can give a short redcap of our Oshkosh trip. We will also do some planning for our Pancake Breakfast and Taildragger Fly In on Sunday September 3, 2017.
We will have to do an inventory of what supplies we have left from last year.
This is the chapter’s 50th year so I hope that we can have a good turn our of =our current members and perhaps some members from past years will show up. I have 50th Anniversary T-shirts for $7.00. Everyone should wear on of these t-shirts for our pancake breakfast.
The January meeting of EAA Chapter 284 will be held on Sunday January 8, 2017 at Red Stewart Airfield t 2:30 PM. Weather on Sunday is currently predicted to be cloudy with temperatures in the mid 20’s Of course that can all change. Should it be necessary to cancel Sunday’s meeting because of either weather or travel conditions I will send an email by noon on Sunday.
AA Chapter 284 will hold its December 2016 meeting on Sunday December 11, 2016 at Red Stewart Airfield at 2:30 PM
Based on some conversations at the November meeting I will do a presentation on drilling holes in wood – Selection of the proper tool. If you have any specific type of hole making tool that may be unique or if you have a design that may be special please bring them for part of the discussion.
The November 2016 meeting of EAA Chapter 284 will be held on Sunday, November 13th at 2:30 PM at the Red Stewart Airfield (40I) Waynesville, OH. I will be giving a report on the Taildragger Fly In. We also need to be thinking about officers for 2017. We can discuss our options and make final selection in December.
