The April Meeting of EAA Chapter 284 will be held on Sunday April 13, 2014 2 PM at Red Stewart Airfield (40I) Waynesville OH.
Brian Cooper will be presenting a demonstration and discussion of practical aircraft fuel alternatives to 100LL. Technical, economic and legal fuel characteristics specific to aviation will be discussed, along with the logistics of on and off airport alternatives to 100LL. Live demonstrations of fuel testing, water contamination, fuel system corrosion and damage will be performed. Whether a 100LL alternative is appropriate for your aircraft or not, you will come away knowing more about your fuel of choice, and the live demonstrations should be entertaining.
Brian has also found a large “hobby shop” near Cincinnati called the Manufactory. Some members may find what they have to offer, such as a 10 ft. break, useful for their projects. Check out their web site at http://www.theManufactory.us/. The Manufactory is located at 12055 Mosteller Rd, Cincinnati, OH. This is just a short distance north of I-275.
