EAA284 Chapter Meeting June 14 2020

EAA Chapter 284 will hold its June meeting on Sunday, June 14th at 2:30 PM at Red Stewart Airfield. The Stewarts still prefer meetings not be held  inside, so we will hold our meeting at the hanger.

Today I watched  the webinar on recommendations for food service operation. I tried to call the Warren County Health Department for their current standards. Unfortunately I had to leave a voice mail. Perhaps they will call tomorrow. We will discuss our upcoming Taildragger fly in.

Also, since we now have TV to use a a computer monitor we will take a look at information on the EAA Web site.

EAA284 Chapter meeting Nov 10 2013

EAA Chapter 284 will hold its November 2013 Chapter meeting on Sunday, November 10, 2013 2 PM at Red Stewart Airfield.

As discussed at last month’s meeting this will be an opportunity for members to share progress on their projects. Bob will have a digital projector so members who have pictures to share should bring them on a flash drive.

Dues for 2014 are now due and can be paid at the chapter meeting or a check made payable to EAA Chapter 284 can be mailed to Rich Corbett. We also need to elect Chapter officers for 2014. I know that there seems to be little interest in assuming a chapter office. We are mostly volunteers. If you would like to fill a chapter office let one of the current officers know.

Coming up on Saturday, November 9th is an auction for aircraft parts and tools that were owned by Gary Collins. There are some machine tools, and engine parts for a Continental O-300 and it appears that there is a core engine, plus some additional parts. The auction will begin at 10 AM at Gary’s hanger at O’Bannon Creek Aerodrome (OH66 http://www.airnav.com/airport/OH66). They have a turf runaway, 3500’ x 80’. Street address is 6889 Goshon Rd. Goshen, OH 45122.

Twitterfeed now set for EAA284 web updates

If you are a Twitter social networking user, EAA284 posts will now trigger a “tweet” with a link to the most recent updates to this site. Although the information is sparse (140 characters or less), the service works well as reminder for upcoming meeting … especially if you permit them to be sent as text messages to your cellphone. Feedback is always appreciated. You can follow EAA Chapter 284 messages at http://twitter.com/eaa284.

EAA284 Group USAF Museum Tour April 15 2011

As a group we have decided on Friday, April 15th for our tour. For information on the tour, times etc please see http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/bts110415 Clicking on next at the bottom of the page will take you to the registration form. I’m not permitted to do a group reservation. I’m not sure if I can register every one individually on the form. I can try if you let me know that you are coming. Each participant must bring a Government issued photo ID card such as a drivers license. The addressed asked for must match that which is on your ID.

Please let me know if you plan on making the tour. I don’t know how fast the tours fill up, so I suggest registering as soon as possible.
