EAA Chapter 284 will hold its December 2021 meeting on Sunday. December 12, 2021 at Red Stewart Airfield (40I). Meeting time 2:30 PM as usual in the office building. The main order of business will be to select our officers for 2022.
I have ordered kits for the PedalPlane J-3 Cub. The price was extraordinarily low, so I am a bit suspicious. I think the seller is actually a drop shipper. I paid with PayPal so I should be able to get a refund if any problems occur.
As a backup, I ordered a set of plans from EAA. Their price was half of what PedalPlane.com was charging, only $20.00. I received the plans yesterday. They include 6 – 36”x 48” pages of drawing and 23 8.5” x 11” pages of instructions. My scanner isn’t working so I’m hoping that someone with a working scanner and scan them into a PDF file for distribution and sharing. The instructions call for the plans to be cut up and glued to the wood. Not what I consider the best option. Hopefully, someone has access to a large format scanner to make copies and a PDF file. The other option is to trace the plans so that we can preserve the originals.
Does anyone have access to a large format scanner and a regular size scanner?
I have also been doing a little research for the spaghetti diner that was suggested at last month’s meeting. I’m trying to get an estimate of costs. Does anyone know a caterer or restaurant owner who might be able to give some assistance?
